The role

We are looking for an exceptional and experienced Client Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our client accounts. Working closely with our Managing Director, you’ll take responsibility for the successful delivery of strategy, campaigns and overall client satisfaction across your accounts, acting as an advisor and advocate for our clients, and a lynchpin between our teams. Ultimately, your job will be to ensure addmustard is meeting our client objectives and, crucially, that we are delivering value to the businesses we work with. This role requires a great deal of empathy and proactivity, identifying and understanding our clients’ biggest challenges, and providing strategic direction and creative solutions that will help overcome them.

A background in digital marketing is essential, and experience integrating this with brand and ATL campaigns will be a real bonus. Ideally you’ll have hands-on experience at channel level and a deep understanding of the levers that can be pulled to deliver exceptional performance. It will be your responsibility to ensure our marketing activity is understood, planned, implemented and evaluated to a high standard, reporting the impact of our work to client teams, and advising on changes to the strategy and campaigns to improve performance or achieve new objectives.

You will need outstanding organisational and prioritisation skills, as you’ll be working across multiple clients and managing the activity of our brand, technology and marketing specialists, taking projects and tasks to completion, dealing with obstacles, and recommending improvements. You’ll also need to be an excellent communicator, written, verbal, and a great listener too, as you’ll be working and liaising with individuals across the entire business and client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

  • Build trusted and valued relationships with clients, acting as an advisor, consultant, advocate and primary point of contact.
  • Understand the marketing needs of our clients, analysing their business objectives and developing effective marketing objectives and KPIs that help achieve these.
  • Develop, own, implement and manage assigned clients’ marketing plans, covering brand, technology, paid media and organic channels.
  • Communicate our clients’ priorities and marketing plans to our team of specialists, including designers, analysts, developers and strategists, ensuring that they are thoroughly briefed and that all deliverables and campaigns are completed on time and on budget.
  • Provide regular, accurate and insightful reporting of performance and activity to client teams and senior management, highlighting successes and providing recommendations to continuously improve performance and profitability.
  • Lead weekly/monthly calls and meetings for assigned clients, setting agendas, confirming objectives, and recording and following up actions.
  • Identify opportunities to grow and develop existing client revenues.
  • Input into new business development and pitching.

Essential skills

  • 5+ years working in digital marketing or related roles
  • Hands on experience implementing integrated digital marketing campaigns
  • Proficient understanding of paid and organic marketing strategies and channels (PPC, Paid Social, SEO, Content, Social Media, Brand)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive and creative problem solver
  • Excellent communicator
